Western Digital, a data storage provider in the Philippines.
The challenge
Western Digital wanted to reduce their CO2 emissions from their factory in the Philippines. The main source of energy used to run their production facility is electricity from the local grid where coal-fired generation power takes the largest share.
The solution
To support Western Digital on their decarbonisation journey, we found renewable electricity options of solar and geothermal for their electricity use in Laguna Technopark. The result is a reduced carbon footprint of the data storage hardware they produce and a step forward on their decarbonisation journey.
