Shell set sights to power Ferrari to a third consecutive 24 Hours of Le Mans victory in 2025
As a key technical partner to Ferrari in the FIA World Endurance Championship, Shell鈥檚 cutting-edge lubricants and coolants have powered Ferrari AF Corse to back-to-back victories at the 2023 and 2024 24 Hours of Le Mans. These triumphs underscore a shared legacy of performance, innovation, and success in the pinnacle of endurance racing.
Building on this momentum, Ferrari AF Corse and Shell are now aiming for a historic third consecutive Le Mans victory in 2025. With innovation at the core of their collaboration, Shell鈥檚 expertise in high performance lubricants will be crucial in Ferrari鈥檚 pursuit of another landmark victory.

Decarbonising Motorsport
Shell is supportive of Formula One鈥檚 ambition to reach net zero carbon from factory to flag by 2030. Shell is working closely with its longstanding partner Scuderia Ferrari HP to develop future fuels and lubricants that will help improve efficiency and reduce carbon emissions while delivering optimum performance. Beyond the racetrack, Shell is also support Scuderia Ferrari HP in developing solutions that will reduce the carbon footprint of their operations and logistics.
Meet the team

Charles Leclerc
Charles Leclerc was born on the 16th October 1997, he began racing karts at the age of five. By 2013, Charles had already won the CIK-FIA KF3 World Cup and the CIK-FIA Academy Trophy, he was the WSK Champion and finished runner-up in the European and Under 18 class. In 2015, Charles was the best rookie in Formula 3 finishing fourth in the championship, becoming a member of the Ferrari Driver Academy the following year. In 2017, Leclerc won the Formula 2 Championship at his first attempt. This success led him to Formula 1 making his debut with the Alfa Romeo Sauber team in 2018.Since joining Scuderia Ferrari in the 2019 season, Charles has secured 8 race wins, 26 pole positions, and 43 total podiums. He looks to add to this tally in the 2025 season alongside Lewis Hamilton.

Lewis Hamilton
Lewis Hamilton, born on the 7th of January 1985 in Stevenage, United Kingdom, is one of the most accomplished drivers in Formula 1 history. Lewis began his racing career in karting at the age of eight and quickly rose through the ranks, winning multiple national and international championships. By 2007, he made his Formula 1 debut with McLaren, achieving the title of World Champion in only his second season in 2008. After joining Mercedes-AMG Petronas in 2013, Lewis dominated the sport, securing seven World Drivers' Championships, equaling the record set by Michael Schumacher, and breaking numerous all-time F1 records, including most wins, pole positions, and podium finishes. Known for his relentless work ethic and precision, Lewis Hamilton joins Scuderia Ferrari HP in the 2025 season, bringing his vast experience, unmatched talent, and a strong commitment to sustainability and diversity within motorsport.
