22 November 2016 - Shell Lubricants has retained its global market leading position in 2015 with 11.6% market share, according to Kline & Company鈥檚 Global Lubricants Industry: Market Analysis and Assessment 2016 report. This is the tenth consecutive year that Shell has been named the number one global lubricants supplier.

Jakarta, 9 November 2016 鈥� Just over one year from the start of its operations, Shell鈥檚 newest lubricant oil blending plant (LOBP), located in Marunda Centre, near Jakarta, Indonesia, has more than doubled its production slate and is now producing 99 different products.

Zibo, Shandong - Shell today entered a strategic cooperation with FAW Jie Fang Truck Co. Ltd, China鈥檚 largest manufacturer of heavy duty trucks. The new agreement deepens Shell鈥檚 relationship with FAW, having been its premium lubricants supplier for first-fill and service-fill oils for many years. Shell and FAW also recently successfully trialled 100,000km long oil drain intervals for the entire powertrain system, including engine, transmission and axle via rigorous bench tests of over10,000 hours and 1.5 million km of road trials, a first in China.

Shell Mysella gas engine oil to be supplied for use in GE鈥檚 Jenbacher gas engines in over 80 countries.

Shell has today (22 April 2016) unveiled a concept city car which, if it were ever to go into production, could deliver material reductions in energy use in the road transport sector. The three seater car is tangible proof of energy efficiency improvements that can be achieved by using cutting edge technology available today through a process of 鈥渃o-engineering鈥� whereby vehicle body, engine design and lubricants are all created together.
