
Our fleet
Starting from our first oil tanker, the Murex, Shell now manages a fleet of 23 vessels that safely and securely deliver energy around the world, including the world's first liquid hydrogen vessel.
Our LNG vessels
Shell manages four classes of LNG carriers:
M-Class
Our five M-Class vessels can carry 174,000 cbm in membrane LNG tanks. They are twin propulsion vessels fitted with M-type, electronically controlled gas injection (MEGI) engines. The vessels can consume heavy fuel oil, marine gas oil or natural gas as fuel. They are fitted with both partial reliquefication systems and sub-coolers.
Shandong Juniper
The Shandong Juniper is a steam turbine propelled cand can carry 137,000 cbm of LNG in Moss Rosenberg type tanks.
Nakilat Q-Max & Q-Flex
The Q-Max LNG carriers can carry 266,000 cbm of LNG, while a Q-Flex carries up to 210,100 cbm, both utilising membrane type LNG tanks.
